About the Trainer:
I am a basketball player, coach, personal trainer, and documentary filmmaker. After playing high school basketball on Salt Spring Island I was un-recruited and under exposed to any college or university teams. At tryouts coaches barely even looked at me due to my stature. 6 years later I decided I'd tryout again, I started to work really hard on my craft. I did purposeful training to improve my weaknesses and even hired a basketball trainer to help me. I made it as a walk on at Capilano University and finally achieved my goal I had always dreamed of.
My ultimate goal was to be a basketball trainer and after playing college I started to train kids privately on the north shore. I also am a head coach at the North Vancouver Basketball Academy. What I found is small groups or private training is the quickest and most efficient way to improve your game. After 4 years of training others and constantly working on my game to ultimately keep up with the players I train, I had an opportunity to play professionally for a new local team called the Vancouver Knights. I went to a week long tryout and to my vindication I made the team. I went on to play semi professionally for another organization called the Vancouver Dragons as well as the Vancouver Pro-Am summer league. I was able to compete and play alongside some of the best players to ever come out of BC. I attribute all of my success to the countless hours I spent putting in purposeful work on my game. I am aware at age 30 my playing career has a ceiling. However, if you commit to this training with purpose, hard work, and dedication from a younger age, the sky is the limit. I want to offer training to any players of any age that are willing to work hard to improve. All our sessions will be with small groups (no more than 6 players) and will be focused on what each individual player needs to work on. The groups will be chosen so that everyone in the group is the same skill level and position. Contact me to begin the beautiful process of improving your game, and ultimately improving your life.
